Shell farming harbours in France are usually obsolete and unwanted structures. They are often isolated sites or hardly connected to the city itself. The farming sheds fail in meeting some basic needs or hospitality and are also difficult to keep in shape. Due to these factors, shell farming harbours have been experiencing economical, political, social and sanitary issues. 3 sites are presented by the Department for us to project upon: Marseillan, Sète and Mèze's shell farming harbours.  

 

Exercise instructions: think of a rehabilitation project for one of the harbours. Duo work alongside Solal Rodriguez-Friquart on Mèze's shell farming harbour.
